• Road Infrastructure
Kerowagi District is strategically located in the area where the Okuk Highway passes
through the middle. It has sixty-eight (68) kilometers (km) of National Roads and 214 km of
provincial and district roads. Kerowagi has some of the reliable road networks and is one of
the only few districts in the province nearly covered by extensive road networks (214 km).
However, most of its feeder roads still needs to be maintained and rehabilitated to good
conditions.
• Bridges
Many bridges and foot bridges have been built within the four LLGs of the district.
Unfortunately, most of them are currently impassable and so require urgent maintenance.
The only Kerowagi rural airstrip was run down and closed for many years. It has now been
upgraded and opened for operation in 2018. This was funded by Hon. Bari Palma using the
DSIP funds.
